Getting started

Open TheOne, send your first message and find your way around.

Open TheOne

  1. Go to www.the1os.io in any browser, or install the desktop app from the download page.
  2. Sign in with GitHub or your email address.
  3. The desktop app and the web app share one account.

Send your first message

Say the result you want in plain words. Pick a way of working under the composer — Learn, Write, Research, Design, Code or Keep going — or leave it to TheOne. “TheOne Auto” chooses the model for you.

  • “Summarise the 5 most important AI agent developments of the past week, each with a source link.”
  • “Make me a 4-week spoken English plan, 30 minutes a day.”

Keyboard shortcuts

  • ⌘K — command palette
  • ⌘N — new chat
  • / at the start of the composer — slash menu: /code, approve, reject, retry
  • Enter to send, Shift+Enter for a new line
  • Ctrl+O — expand or collapse execution details
  • ⌘, — settings: account, plan, keys, appearance
