Desktop app
Install TheOne Desktop and use it on your own folders.
Install
- macOS (Apple silicon): open the .dmg and drag TheOne into Applications. The first time, right-click TheOne and choose Open — the build is not notarized yet.
- Windows 10/11 (64-bit): run the Setup .exe; if SmartScreen warns you, choose More info, then Run anyway.
- Sign in with the same account as the web app.
Working on your files
- Open a folder or repository from Projects in the sidebar; coding tasks then run on your computer.
- Only the files a task was allowed to change are written back, and each is checked.
- The local runtime answers only TheOne’s own pages.
Updates
The app updates itself. Interface improvements made to the web app appear in the desktop app automatically.
