Works where your code lives

  • Pick a folder or repository; coding tasks run on your own computer.
  • Only the files it was allowed to change are written back, each one checked.
  • Untracked files that were there before a run — notes, archives, build output — are never changed or deleted.
  • Uncommitted changes to tracked files stop the task, with the files named and how to set them aside.

The same TheOne everywhere

  • The same account, conversations, memory, goals and automations as the web app.
  • Interface improvements in the web app reach the desktop app automatically.
  • The app updates itself when a new version is released.

A boundary around your computer

  • The local runtime answers only TheOne’s own pages; any other site opened from the app goes to your browser and gets nothing.
  • Keys you keep for local work stay on your computer.

Requirements

  • macOS on Apple silicon.
  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
  • The macOS build is not notarized yet: the first time, right-click TheOne and choose Open.
